NB: Ticketlord no longer uses the online ticketing system developed by Cloch Internet as described below. It now uses a third-party system.

 
Ticketlord is a new Irish ticketing agent providing ticket sales, management and printing functions to concert promoters and venue owners.

The challenge was to develop from scratch a web based management system for the creation, management and sale of tickets for events.

The system uses PHP & Perl scripting to interact with a MySQL database and XML to interact with the Ticketlord payment systems. For scalability and future proofing, the system is OS independent, but is currently running on a Red Hat Linux Enterprise system.

The system allows Ticketlord staff to set up new customers, venues and events via simple web based forms. The event promoters have their own login to view sale reports, make bookings, verify booking details etc.

The Ticketlord call centre also has a web based sales interface to allow operators quickly make bookings and provide customers with instant confirmation via email. The web interface allows a highly flexible solution, allowing Ticketlord to quickly add operators in the call centre or at another location by allowing them access to the system.

The public website allows users to quickly and simply book tickets for events.
Future add ons to the system will include a membership feature to allow users purchase using a "quick book" link, and receive notification of events to their liking.
