What are âFrontPage extensionsâ?
FrontPage extensions are a combination of programs that gives to you the opportunity to upload directly your webpages via FrontPage. When you have already created your webpage with FrontPage, all you need to do to upload your page on your hosting account is to click on the button âPublish FrontPage Webâ. Then input the address of your web site and the exact folder in which you want to upload your webpage. For successful uploading and working of the webpage you should first install the FrontPage extensions on your account. This is a great opportunity for those who want to create and publish webpages without using programming languages or FTP Clients and File Managers. That is why you should activate FrontPage extensions before starting to upload your webpage.
How do I find the FrontPage extensions installer?
To find the FrontPage extensions control panel you should log into your hosting account on Cloch. You can reach the cPanel from your Customer's area. When you log in, click on the domain name of the hosting account you wish to manage under the "WebSite Control Panel Quick Links" on the right hand side.
After you are logged on you can see the FrontPage extensions icon in the middle of the screen, click on it.

How to activate FrontPage extensions?
On the page which you opened you can see warning message with the following text:
Warning: It is recommended that you DO NOT install FrontPage Extensions on your account unless you intend to publish your site directly from the FrontPage application.
Uninstalling the extensions from the main domain will uninstall the extensions from all subdomains and addon domains. Uninstalling will also remove all .htaccess files in your web root (public_html). You must have the extensions installed on the main domain before they can be installed on any subdomains or addon domains.
Installing or uninstalling FrontPage Extensions will result in the loss of all .htaccess files in your web area. Any directories you have protected with WebProtect will become unprotected until you reprotect them.

You can also see the current status of the FrontPage extensions (installed/not installed). Click on the button named âInstall Extensionsâ to install it (if the status is not installed). In case the FrontPage extensions are already installed or there is an error until the installation, please uninstall it and then click on the button âClean Up Old Extensionsâ, after that you can install it again. It is highly recommended to clean up the old extensions because The FrontPage extensions are very 'sensitive' and even the slightest permission change can make them not working.
Just to remind you that during the installation of FrontPage extensions you do not need username and password, but uploading through FrontPage software requires username and password. Note that the login credentials for uploading are the same as your login details for the cPanel of your Cloch hosting account.
NOTE!!! If you have created a subdomain (or many subdomains) through your primary domain and want to upload FrontPage webpages on the subdomain/s, you will have to activate FrontPage extensions for each subdomain separately.
